Recently, my husband and I moved from our large home in Nags Head, NC to a condo in Kill Devil Hills. Just the thought of downsizing from a five bedroom home to a condo was overwhelming. I called Hardy Moving and Storage, met with Megan Patel (a co-owner) for a walk-through and quote, and immediately I felt less anxious and more positive about our move. Megan contacted Amy, a professional packer, to help us begin packing. Amy was personable and proficient. She began with our pictures, china closet, and kitchen, and then moved on to other rooms as they were ready. She treated our belongings with care, and we didn’t have a single broken item when we unpacked. The five- man moving crew moved us in one day. Once the trucks were packed, they took a quick lunch break and headed to the condo. Because our new home is on the third floor, they immediately established an effective routine in the parking lot, careful not to block any residents in and allowing everyone access to the elevator and stairs. We never saw these guys sit down. Throughout the move, they maintained a polite and efficient manner. They treated our belongings with respect and always made sure our furniture was properly reassembled and placed. Samip Patel, the other co-owner of Hardy Moving, even stopped by to check on our move. Once the moving crew left, we realized we had left behind some items at our old house that were too heavy for us to move. I called Megan, and over the weekend, at no additional cost, she and Samip moved the items to our condo. The new owners of Hardy Moving, Samip and Megan Patel, are awesome! Also, Megan and Samip, have been to our new home three times to pick up moving boxes to recycle and use again.
